The Dolores river in SW Colorado rarely runs. It only runs in big snow years and this is one of them. I missed the opportunity to run it in 2019, but this time it worked out to go on Jeff’s trip. Hannah was with him, also Molly, Logan with his family and Allen with his girlfriend. My best friends Sophie, Chris and Johan were doing a trip in exactly the same days and I was very excited we met on the river and camped together. This stretch is relatively flat with some small waves, excellent for beginners. The canyon is really beautiful.
